About

Money moves. Proof doesn't.
We built the infrastructure to fix that.

ImpactMatch is a Sustaina Partners venture, founded in Providence, Rhode Island.

The observation

Corporate America gives more than $40 billion a year. Almost none of it can be proven. The dollars pass through intermediaries, land as anonymized line items, and come back as anecdotes — a photo, a thank-you letter, a number nobody could defend under oath. Meanwhile, the people responsible for that giving are being asked harder questions every year: what did it accomplish, where, and how do we know?

The nonprofits doing the actual work carry the other half of the burden. They rebuild bespoke reports for every funder, in every format, and the labor of proving their impact competes with the mission itself. The organizations most worth funding are often the hardest to find — visible only to funders who already know them.

That's not a behavior problem. It's an infrastructure problem. Twenty years of giving technology was built to move money efficiently and quietly — none of it was built to prove what the money did.

The founder

Matthew Young is the founder of ImpactMatch and founder and managing partner of Sustaina Partners. He has spent more than twenty years on the business-development and partnership side of sustainability, chemical safety, regulatory intelligence, and enterprise software — work that lives at the intersection of business incentives, compliance, and social outcomes.

A pattern kept recurring across that work: systems perform when the right behavior is also the provable behavior. Supply chains got cleaner when transparency became infrastructure. Product safety improved when verification was built into the transaction instead of stapled on afterward. Corporate giving is the last major flow of corporate capital where none of that is true — where generosity and evidence remain strangers.

ImpactMatch applies that lesson to philanthropy: verification embedded in the giving itself, attribution as the product, and a marketplace where being discoverable and provable is worth more than being loud.

The principles

Every dollar arrives whole. We never take a percentage of the giving. Nonprofits join free; corporate and foundation subscriptions fund the platform.
Not a donor-advised fund. No intermediary stands between funder and nonprofit. Your name is on every dollar.
Verification is the substrate. Standardized metrics, named methodology, executive attestation, immutable records — so every claim is checkable.
Values-neutral by design. Outcomes are meals, housing, jobs, students, acres — local, concrete, and provable in every state.

The venture

ImpactMatch is built and operated by Sustaina Partners, a Providence, Rhode Island firm focused on ventures that align business incentives with human and environmental outcomes. The platform is in invitation-only pre-launch through 2026, built alongside a Founding Impact Circle of corporations, foundations, individuals, and nonprofit partners.
